Our purpose is to promote travel and foster contact amongst Mensans worldwide. We publish a newsletter, VISA, six times a year. Members use VISA to write about their travels, to exchange travel information, tips and advice and to debate the issues and effects of tourism. By writing for VISA, you can show a well-known destination in a fresh light or introduce members to a lesser-known part of the world. Members will be interested to hear your views and experiences of travel and tourism, whether in the UK, Europe or anywhere else. A collection of some of the best writing has been published as Travels with Mensans, with net proceeds going to charity. We also organise at least one SIG event each year. These events may be illustrated lectures, where our members talk about their travels, or more informal visits to a UK location. This website features news of forthcoming SIG events, as well as a substantial archive of articles from past issues of VISA and a gallery of hundreds of travel photos. A dedicated SIG forum on the British Mensa website provides further opportunities for debate and discussion. Whatever your interest in travel, as a consumer, student or as a professional in the industry, we welcome your active participation in Travel SIG. Barry
